It is with great pleasure that I announce the opening of The Block House, a hot glass studio devoted to the art and craft of blown, cast, and fused glass.

My name is Dennis Brent. I have been involved in the three-dimensional arts in one form or another for over thirty years, and am now finally able to concentrate on the medium of my choice: hot glass.
For years the high cost of glass blowing equipment and the great distances I had to travel in order to gain access to a studio had limited my opportunity to work in glass. This is why I have spent the last several years building my own studio and constructing the equipment by hand one-piece at a time.

    The Block House is now ready to go and I look forward to the possibilities of stimulating growth in the arts in Chautauqua County 

I was trained at Rochester Institute of Technology and Corning Glass.  I am now offering to the public introductory lessons in glass blowing, assisted by my wife, Debbie who is also an RIT-trained glassblower.
